Uniform

Uniform
We require all children to wear school uniform, to show they are part of Oakfield Junior School, to present a smart appearance and to mark a difference between work and leisure:
Boys: grey trousers or shorts, white shirts (long or short sleeve), school tie, navy school pullover, grey socks, black shoes.
Girls: grey skirts or grey school trousers, white shirts, school tie, navy school pullover, white socks, black shoes, summer light blue candy-striped or checked cotton dress.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE MARKED WITH CHILDREN'S NAMES

Shoes need to be sensible flat ones, for safety, as there are a lot of stairs in school. School pullovers, ties, fleeces, PE T-shirts and shorts are available with the school logo on them through the school outfitter.
Boys and girls are expected to keep their hair neat and tidy and avoid extremes of style. Girls with long hair should have it tied back in some way. Back to top
Art and Craft
A clearly named apron is essential. Back to top
P.E.
Red shorts and a 'T' shirt with the school logo on, (from our outfitter) . Trainers will be needed for outdoor PE activities.
A navy-blue tracksuit will be needed in cold weather. Football boots can be worn on the field, but this is not essential. A plastic bag in which to put muddy clothes and shoes is important, as is a spare pair of socks.
Each child needs a named kit bag to keep their sports kit in. We advise that the kit should come in to school every Monday and return home for washing on Friday. Back to top
